National Science Day 2022 | Why Celebrated As National Science Day?

National Science Day 2022: Today, February 28 is National Science Day. This day is celebrated every year in the honor and memory of the great scientist of India, Chandrasekhar Venkata Raman. The discovery of the great discovery ‘Raman Effect’ by physicist CV Raman was confirmed on the day of 28 February 1928. Later, in the year 1930, scientist CV Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery.

However, the Government of India was advised by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) to observe 28 February as National Science Day.

Science speech, debate, activity, competition, etc. are done by educational institutions to increase awareness and interest in science among students.

National Science Day is celebrated to spread the message about the importance of science to be used in the daily life of the people. Its objectives include showcasing all activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare.
